Principal Dancer in Hamburg Ballet (1993-2006)

Current company/position:

Principal Dancer of the Dresden Semperoper Ballet (since 2006)

Favorite roles/choreographies:

Vaclav Nijinsky in “Nijinsky” (creation from Mr. John Neumeier), Petruchio in “Taming of the Shrew” John Cranko, Arman Duval in J. Neumeier´s “Die Kameliendame”, works by Mats Ek, Jiri Kylian, W. Forsythe and many others…

Dear dancers, take every possibilities that you have to go on stage. That´s the place you learn the most. Make it yours and all your dreams will come true. Work hard, think a lot and never stop learning! And once you are on stage, just dance with your heard and soul.

Because of this competition, myself and so many that I know found their future companies. I like to thank you again for providing great artistic opportunity for all young talented dancers! Please never stop, the youth needs you.

The objective of the Prix de Lausanne is to help young talented dancers start in their professional careers. The winners of the contest receive scholarships that allow them to complete their training for one year in one of the schools or professional dance companies, partners of the Prix de Lausanne.
